The ray tracing method was employed to calculate the radiation characteristics of arbitrarily shaped dielectric lens antenna. As an example of lens antenna, the circular cylindrical lens antenna with an inner surface of unsymmetrical shape was calculated. The calculated half-power beamdwidth agrees well with the measured result.
