An Analysis of PWM-VSI Fed IM System with Inverter Output Error Depending on Power Devices

The voltage source PWM inverter has been used widely for AC-machine control system. The inverter has nonlinear characteristic which causes instability problems in some specific working points of the AC-machine. Nonlinearities like dead-time in the power devices and the voltage drop across the switches are modelled and compensated by improved modulation techniques in order to obtain an ideal inverter. Two feedforward techniques are proposed. Then simulation and experimental results of the system are shown.
