The Art of Managerial Decision-making: MONOPOLY's Potential
抄録
The famous traditional American game, MONOPOLY, has a lot of significance of education for business management as well: e.g.,the fact of life, some traditional means for business transaction, and what we call clever moves. If students play it in the classroom (as so-called active learning), they might learn both technical terms and some kind of sense required for managerial decision-making: stock and flow, the heuristics of players, tips for bargaining, coalitions, and so on. This paper illuminates the interfaces between MONOPOLY and some major disciplines so as to imply the direction for future research: standard moves (OR, game-theory, and mathematical approaches),corporate finance, banking, civil and business law (especially collateral),international comparative study of real estate (institutionally or ideologically).
