Development of Environment Learning Material by Using of Wood and Natural Glue (1) Performance of Japanese Cedar Wood Bonded with Natural Starch Glue
抄録
In this research, the performance of starch glue was evaluated to develop the environment learning materials used for wood and natural glue. The starch glues, wheat, corn, and potato were used for shear performance test. And, the Japanese cedar wood was used as adherent. As a result, the shear mechanical performance of the wheat starch glue of 15% concentration was a most value it. This performance was similar to polyvinyl acetate adhesive; wood failure was lower than it was. All starch glues were inferior to water resistance.
