The kind of concern most frequently raised by the participants was "disease progress", followed by "social and economic concerns", "self-existence", and "reorganization of daily life" in this order. People whom the patients talked about their concerns was mostly their families and friends. 40 to 50% patients did not talk to others about those concerns which easily led them to think about "self-worth" or "death", such as-"being anxious about own role in receiving and continuing chemotherapy" or "being worried about recurrence and metastasis". It is therefore crucial that nurses and doctors should not only be aware of such concerns but provide support so that patients may overcome their anxieties by, for example talking to others, and continue with their treatment., 保健学研究, 24(1), pp.19-25; 2012}, pages = {19--25}, title = {外来化学療法を受けているがん患者の気がかりとそのサポート}, volume = {24}, year = {2012} }
