 note = {This paper describes spectral characteristics of landslide areas for Hokusho (Kitamatsuura) district at the north-western part of Kyushu in Japan. Remotely-sensed data for analysis are Multispectral Scanner (MSS) data obtained from the Landsat-2 satellite on October 30, 1980. Computer analysis of these data yields spectral characteristics and vegetation activity of a landslide area consisted of the scarp, the head, the middle and the toe parts, and compares them with those of an ordinary area. The results indicate that spectral reflectance and vegetation index of the head are the lowest of the landslide area, and that the landslide area shows lower in both values of spectral reflectance and vegetation index than the ordinary area., 長崎大学工学部研究報告, 15(24), pp.83-88; 1985},
