The laminar boundary-layer equations of momentum and energy for the vapor film, including both the inertia force in the former and the convection term in the latter, were solved using an integral method. The analytical solution was obtained for the integrated boundary-layer equations. A theoretical correlating equation for the heat transfer rate, which was derived from the solution, agreed well with the experimental data of water by Aziz et al.
