In the proposed system, the electric power is supplied to each circuit from the battery during only the operating time interval when the signals are measured, processed and transmitted. During the waiting time inte~val, the main switch is in off-state and the power consumption of this system can be disregarded. The circuit configuration of the new digital telemetry system is described first. Next, the power consumption characteristics are analyzed and compared on the conventional and new systems. As a result, it is clearly demonstrated that the new system is superior to the conventional one and can be used for five years or more without the maintenance of the battery.
