In present investigation, we assumed that the characteristics of the fans could be consisted of two parts; one is the disks and another is the blades, and that the total pressure head and the sound pressure level could be estimated by the sum of these parts. Assuming the noises due to the turbulent boundary layer on the disk surface and the vortex shedding from the trailing edge of a blade were independent of each other, the sound power estimation was carried out. In this paper, it was examined the effects to the aerodynamic characteristics and the fan turbulent noise of parameters; the span length of the blade, the number of blades, the inner radius of impeller and the setting angle of the blade. Moreover, the comparison between the theoretical and the experimental values was tried.
