A questionnaire survey was distributed to a total of 1602 elderly aged 65 and above who are members of the same community association. Of them, 698（43.8%） took part and results of 634 （39.6%） respondents were eligible for study analysis. Depression among the old-old males, and low self-rated health, decreased engagement in social activities, decreased motor function and tendency to keep indoors among the old-old females were reported. Among both male and female respondents, low self-rated health was associated with decreased motor function and decreased engagement in social activities.
