This paper presents an analytical study to investigate a plastic behavior of the hysteretic damper with ordinary steel. The authors have conducted FEM analysis to trace the behavior of results of the tests of three H-shape specimens subjected to cyclic shearing force. The hysteretic performances of the test and analysis were strongly affected by the sectional specs of the flanges of the H-shape dampers.
