We investigated one aspect of this transition by an empirical analysis of number and types of journal articles and found a clear-cut structure of “ center and periphery”in the field of environmental studies. Now, we address “ journal communities”which are the matrices of journal articles. We picked up five interdisciplinary “ journal communities”which contribute to this academic field and analyzed the composition and transition of members of editorial committee empirically. In consequence, we revealed that most of them are specialists of engineering, agriculture, and social sciences as practical fields. On the other hand, specialists of humanities are hardly elected to the members of editorial committee of interdisciplinary environmental “ journal communities”., 長崎大学総合環境研究, 12(2), pp.15-28; 2010}, pages = {15--28}, title = {環境諸学と「ジャーナル共同体」 - 編集委員の構成とその変遷を手がかりとして-}, volume = {12}, year = {2010} }
