Because of complexlty in structural conjunctions and mutual reactions of individual members, i.e., stiffened girder, cables and hangers, the fundamental equations are the coupled nonlinear form of expressions, which is caused from the horizontal component Hp of the cable tension produced by live load. As numerical examples, the results are applied to the analysis of a suspension bridge subjected to the static wind forces.
