But, it’s not known the correlation between micro texture on surface and function of surface. In the case of achieving dimple texture with 2μm pitch in square 1mm on a side, number of dimples is needed 250,000. If dimpling speed was 1/s, it takes about 70 hours to finish the dimple texture. Therefore, fast dimpling machine is needed. In this study, fast dimpling machine which can make the accurate dimple texture was developed. Form accuracy is determined by the so-called copy principle and depth accuracy is determined by the road control dimpling. In this paper, the application of the dimpling machine with road control is shown.
