In former articles, the author has strived to trace the historical developments, characteristics of Chinese enterprises abroad. In this article, the author concentrates on reviewing recent changes and new trends in this area. The first part of this paper clarifies China's leap forward in the world economy, especially in the world GDP, trade, FDI etc. China's FDI stock has reached 92.63 billion, and annual FDI flow recorded 21. 16 billion in 2006. The second part of the paper introduces and examines the analyses of UNCTAD "World Investment Report 2006" on Chinese enterprises operating in overseas. The third part of the paper overviews the governmental annual report on FDI in 2006. The final part of the paper illustrates Chinese enterprises in Africa and China's FDI to African countries. The author concludes that Chinese enterprises will go abroad more and more in the near future.
