 note = {The purpose of this study is to examine whether technological change affects workers' behaviour and the role of their skills in the period of skill shortage. Two characteristic shipbuilders are compared. We conducted a field survey to collect data on workers' work time using the work sampling method and information on their work through open-ended interviews. We use MANOVA for the collected evidence. The results show that the effects of technological change definitely exist. However, workers' behaviour is not affected by the change.
