Nursing mothers were found to receive both psychological and practical/physical support from their own mothers as well as their husbands ; it was thereby reconfirmed that the mothers and husbands of nursing women play important support roles. Medical doctors were also recognized as providers of phychological support by both those nursing mothers with jobs outside the home and those without.
