The results indicated that some care managers were not sufficiently knowledgeable about the system for supplying these services, and there was a significant difference in the number of services supplied by different care managers. Many care managers responded that, regardless of the nature of the service, they had problems when it came to making decisions, and that they were generally compelled to act according to the wishes of the service users. These results suggest that the training system for care managers needs to be improved, and that occupational and physical therapists need to provide adequate advice to care managers regarding the supply of services.
