Both medical students and nursing students were participated. The aim of the session is to learn communication skills with patients and their families, as well as to understand the roles of doctors and nurses in clinical settings. Medical students and nursing students played roles together and made communication with simulated patients. Eighty-one medical students and 75 nursing students were asked about images of both doctors and nurses before and after the training session. Nursing students before the session described their image of the role of doctors as medical examination and treatment. Then after the session it changed to getting informed consent with patients and to cooperating with nurses. Medical students before the session described their image of the role of nurses as assistance for treatment. It changed after the session to a collaborating medical staffs (doctors and nurses) with patients, and medical students understand the importance of nursing.
