Stents were inserted in 10 of the cases following reconstructive surgery of the respiratory tract. A T tube was used in 6 of the cases, an Extending metallic stent (EMS) was used in 2 cases, T tube and EMS combination was used in 1 case and a Duemon tube was used in 1 case. In these cases, 1-T tube, 1-T tube and EMS combination, 1-EMS were observed in outpatient care over a long period of time. In this paper the authors introduced the characteristics of each stent, and gave detailed reports on the T tube and T tube-EMS combination in widespread airway stenotic cases.
