This exercise was started in the early poststroke stage when maintaining seated posture was unstable. After he could do the practical dressing activity in seated posture, we continued the exercise of dressing activity at the standing posture including the walking exercise inside the room. Our exercise programs produced independent of dressing activity and improved his balance ability in seated and standing postures. Because of improved toilet and bathing as well as dressing abilities, his general daily life in the hospital became active.
