| 内容記述 | This paper examines the impact of ESG information disclosure on labor investment efficiency using Chinese A-share listed firms from 2017 to 2023. The findings reveal a non-linear inverted U-shaped relationship between ESG disclosure and labor investment efficiency. Further analysis indicates that financing constraints mediate this relationship. Additionally, the effects vary by ownership structure and industry, with nonstate-owned enterprises and firms in non-highly polluting industries experiencing a more pronounced impact. This study broadens the understanding of ESG transparency's influence on financing constraints and labor allocation. By differentiating the mechanisms of labor over-investment and under-investment, it provides insights for policymakers on corporate disclosure standards and labor resource optimization | |||||||||||
