| 内容記述 | This paper is intended to illustrate how the governments have been tackling online harm in major Asia-Pacific jurisdictions. The concept of online harm is used to discuss “financial fraud perpetuated on the Internet, primarily targeting retail investors in the securities and derivatives markets,［…］to induce the purchase of financial products and / or services” (IOSCO Board (2023)). In Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore, the financial and securities regulators are heavily involved in the fight against such fraud. By focusing on measures that have been taken by these regulators, this paper will conclude with the distinction of their approaches. | |||||||
