| 内容記述 | In Nomozaki Hot Spring, a non-volcanic carbonated spring located in Nagasaki Prefecture, hot spring water samples and associated gases were collected for chemical and isotope analyses. Through these analyses, the characteristics of hot spring water and gas were understood, and an estimation of the formation mechanism of this carbonated spring was conducted. Despite its coastal location, Nomozaki Hot Spring exhibited a freshwater composition that excelled in Ca, Mg, and HCO3 ions. It was inferred to be water recharged during the glacial period, based on stable oxygen and hydrogen isotope ratios as well as radiocarbon dating. Additionally, examination of the associated hot spring gases revealed that their origins were predominantly crustal, in contrast to Funagoya Hot Spring in Fukuoka Prefecture, located in another non-volcanic region, which dominated mantle components. The origin of the carbonated component in Nomozaki Hot Spring, characterized by low mantle components, was suggested to be influenced by the thermal decomposition products based on the analysis of carbon isotope ratios of CH4 and CO2. This indicates a thermal decomposition origin of gas sourced from the non-metamorphic accretionary complexes constituting the Shimanto Belt. | |||||||||||
