| 内容記述 | This paper analyzes official statistics on post-high school pathways in the seven prefectures of Kyushu, focusing on spatial mobility and gender disparities to identify current challenges. By examining trends from 2000 to 2024, it aims to provide foundational data for predicting the future and considering the direction of future career guidance and education. The analysis confirms significant differences in post-high school university enrollment and employment patterns between Fukuoka Prefecture and the other Kyushu prefectures. Furthermore, variations exist among the other prefectures themselves, influenced by their distance from Fukuoka Prefecture. Comparisons of industries, occupations, employment types, and income between Kyushu and the national level, and between Kyushu and Tokyo Prefecture along with inferences from the locations of high school graduate employment suggest that university graduate employment may promote migration to the Tokyo and Osaka metropolitan areas. That is, the current “Tokyo-centric concentration” is thought to stem more strongly from disparities in occupational opportunities than from disparities in educational opportunities. | |||||||
