The study used 107 patients who were initially diagnosed as having ICD-9 schizophrenia for the WHO Collaborative Study on the Determinants of Outcome of Severe Mental Disorders (DOSMeD). Subjects were first collected in 1979-1980 for an incidence study of schizophrenia in Nagasaki. In this 15-yearfollow- up study, 7 subjects died, 43 subjects were lost to follow-up and 57 were successfully traced. Among the 7 death cases, 4 suicides were confirmed and 1 was suspected. During the 15-year period, 25 (44%) of the 57 living subjects displayed continuous psychotic course type schizophrenia. During the last 2 years, 14 (25%) were not psychotic ; 31 (54%) were continuously psychotic. Global Assessment of Functioning Scale for Symptomatology (GAF-S) indicated symptomatological outcomes : 16 (28%) had severe symptoms (GAF-S<51), and 17 (30%) were symptom-free (GAF-S>70). Social outcome was evaluated using the Global Assessment of Functioning Scale for Disability (GAF-D): 28 (49%) showed poor adjustment (GAF-D<51), and 23 (40%) were functioning well (GAF-D>70). The overall time trend was almost evenly divided in thirds : 20 (35%) were getting better, 18 (32%) were the same and 19 (33%) were worse. The present study showed that the outcome of schizophrenia is not always poor, although some patients display a continuous course and poor outcome.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_3_description_64":{"attribute_name":"引用","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"Acta medica Nagasakiensia. 1997, 42(3-4), p.39-44","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_3_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA00508430","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_3_source_id_7":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"00016055","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_3_text_62":{"attribute_name":"sortkey","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"P00039-P00044"}]},"item_3_version_type_16":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Takada, Koichi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yoshitake, Kazuyasu"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Otsuka, Toshihiro"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sakyo, Toshiaki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Hatada, Keiko"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sata, Misako"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Imamura, Yoshihiro"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nakane, Yoshibumi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-12-23"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"acta42_03_07_t.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"740.4 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"acta42_03_07_t.pdf","url":"https://nagasaki-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/20144/files/acta42_03_07_t.pdf"},"version_id":"3c81e269-e7d5-4128-bf8a-18fdecd5790f"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"schizophrenia","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"outcome","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"follow-up study","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"incidence","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"ICD-9","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Nagasaki Schizophrenia Study : Outcome of a 15-year Follow-up of an Incident Cohort","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Nagasaki Schizophrenia Study : Outcome of a 15-year Follow-up of an Incident Cohort"}]},"item_type_id":"3","owner":"2","path":["1392"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2008-03-13"},"publish_date":"2008-03-13","publish_status":"0","recid":"20144","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Nagasaki Schizophrenia Study : Outcome of a 15-year Follow-up of an Incident Cohort"],"weko_creator_id":"2","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-04-17T04:05:16.516230+00:00"}
