In spite of the complicated structure of the whole crystals, the hollow crystals are always grown at the top of a long substrate crystal (trunk crystal) or on the several short ones, and are composed of a few branch crystals. The branch crystals are dendritically grown in the +c direction. Each of them has an outer surface covered with several prismatic planes of 1st and 2nd order and has a round inner surface. It is likely that the branch crystal is formed by a cluster of c-whiskers., 長崎大学教養部紀要. 自然科学. 1977, 17, p.5-12}, pages = {5--12}, title = {ZnO hollow crystal の成長機構}, volume = {17}, year = {1977} }
