 note = {In the historical study of the civil engineering, we use several graphical data, such as old maps, photographs, and newspapers. So, in this paper, we have developed the image database which stores and serches those historical data. The image database is formed as follows. Macintosh is used to cotructed the image database. The 4 th-Dimension is applied to the database. And, the 4 th-Dimension Tool Kit is utilized to paste some graphical data on the database. Three samples of the database are explained.
