By transforming the differential equations into integral equations and applying the numerical integration, the discrete solutions can be obtained. The characteristic equation of the free vibration is derived by applying the Green function which is obtained as a discrete solution of differential equations governing the flexural behavior of the irregular sandwich plates under the action of a concentrated load. By applying the characteristic equation, the behavior of the free vibration of the irregular sandwich plates can be analyzed efficiently without a calculation by trail and error method. Some numerical analyses are carried out for the bending and free vibration problems of irregular sandwich plates.
