In this religion, there is no originator and no such services as baptism or conversion. Hindus are people who simply believe in many Hindu gods. Hinduism can be regarded as a naturally originated religion. The Kingdom of Nepal, consisting of several tribes, has determined Hinduism as its national religion. In the Nepalese calendar, we can observe a lot of Hindu festivals. Although Hindu culture has been examined from various scientific view points, there is few report on the details of the method or intention of its ceremonies. This paper tries to clarify the process and the purpose of these ceremonies and to consider their influence upon keeping healthy condition in the Hindu life. The materials for this study are obtained from an on-the-spot investigation of a devout Nepalese Hindu couple who are living in Bhagloon village. A close look at their Hindu feast has revealed that the ceremonies are composed of four activities as the purification, worship of specific trees, fasting, and offering of food at the altar. The following reflections are also observed behind the facts : (1) The purification is not only for showing respect to gods but at the same time for keeping themselves clean. (2) Worshipping some special trees is not merely believing in other appearances of their gods but also appreciation of medical effect from wild plants. (3) Fasting is to show loyalty to gods. Also it has a good effect on intestinal disorders. (4) Food, dedicated to gods for thanksgiving, gives at least minimum nourishment to people after the feast. Thus we can conclude that Hindu people have established their method of keeping health partly in the framework of Hinduism.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_3_description_64":{"attribute_name":"引用","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"長崎大学教養部紀要. 人文科学篇. 1996, 37(1), p.145-176","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_3_full_name_3":{"attribute_name":"著者別名","attribute_value_mlt":[{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"90845","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"Kaneda, Eiko"}]}]},"item_3_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00205408","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_3_source_id_7":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"02871300","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_3_text_62":{"attribute_name":"sortkey","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"P00145-P00176"}]},"item_3_version_type_16":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"金田, 英子"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-12-23"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"kyoyoJ37_01_09_t.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"5.1 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"kyoyoJ37_01_09_t.pdf","url":"https://nagasaki-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/21484/files/kyoyoJ37_01_09_t.pdf"},"version_id":"a1f03c5c-7827-498a-bbd6-1a2cf67f422e"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"ヒンドゥー教の祭礼行事に潜在する健康方略について -ネパール催事暦の分析から-","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"ヒンドゥー教の祭礼行事に潜在する健康方略について -ネパール催事暦の分析から-"}]},"item_type_id":"3","owner":"2","path":["1521"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2008-03-05"},"publish_date":"2008-03-05","publish_status":"0","recid":"21484","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["ヒンドゥー教の祭礼行事に潜在する健康方略について -ネパール催事暦の分析から-"],"weko_creator_id":"2","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-05-16T01:53:31.071079+00:00"}
