Ret rearrangement is the commonest oncogenic alterations in Chernobyl-related papillary thyroid cancer (PTC). To evaluate whether there is a radiation signature, we analyzed Ret rearrangement in radiation-associated thyroid cancers with fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The FISH analysis demonstrated segmental jumping translocation (SJT) of Ret gene in radiation-associated thyroid cancers but not in sporadic well differentiated PTC. Furthermore, Ret SJT was commonly observed in anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) including both radiation-associated and sporadic cancers. In PTC, Ret SJT was restricted to radiation-associated or high-grade cases. Because Ret SJT was not observed in sporadic, well differentiated and low-grade cases of PTC, Ret SJT might be a molecular marker for radiation-induced and/or aggressive cases of PTC. SJTs are unbalanced translocations involving a donor chromosome arm or chromosome segment that has fused to multiple recipient chromosome, and mainly reported in treatment-related leukemias, while very rare in solid cancers. We found SJT in radiation-induced and high-grade thyroid cancers, suggesting chromosomal instability. This is the first report showing SJT in thyroid cancer, and probably the third report showing SJT in solid cancer in vivo.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_3_description_64":{"attribute_name":"引用","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"Acta medica Nagasakiensia. 2005, 50(supl.1), p.87-89","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_3_relation_42":{"attribute_name":"関係URI","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"http://joi.jlc.jst.go.jp/JST.JSTAGE/amn/50.S87"}]}]},"item_3_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA00508430","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_3_source_id_7":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"00016055","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_3_text_62":{"attribute_name":"sortkey","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"P00087-P00089"}]},"item_3_version_type_16":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nakashima, Masahiro"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Takamura, Noboru"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Namba, Hiroyuki"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Saenko, Vladimir"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Hayashi, Tomayoshi"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Sekine, Ichiro"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-12-24"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"acta50_s1_87.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"432.2 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"acta50_s1_87.pdf","url":"https://nagasaki-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/22590/files/acta50_s1_87.pdf"},"version_id":"7ea643cd-d0aa-4d0d-ad2d-0b4df7b91098"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Radiation","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Thyroidcancer","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Segmentaljumpingtranslocation","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Ret","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Segmental Jumping Translocation of Ret Oncogene in Radiation-associated Thyroid Cancer","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Segmental Jumping Translocation of Ret Oncogene in Radiation-associated Thyroid Cancer"}]},"item_type_id":"3","owner":"2","path":["1609"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2007-11-02"},"publish_date":"2007-11-02","publish_status":"0","recid":"22590","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Segmental Jumping Translocation of Ret Oncogene in Radiation-associated Thyroid Cancer"],"weko_creator_id":"2","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-04-17T03:58:51.877008+00:00"}
