IGs have been created as training tool to develop the abilities needed in one of the performing genres, Improvisation, which requires players to act spontaneously without script/direction prepared beforehand. Although it has been widely noticed that IGs have positive learning effects, there are few studies categorizing IGs based on crucial factors such as learners’ proficiency.
