 note = {Having given 0.3g of Hetrazan (Lederle) every day to a patient (a soldier, thirty years of age) whose diagnosis was filariasis, we observed the effect on the microfilaria, and found that the patient felt tension in the lower abdomen on the sixth day after he began to take our medicine, and from the eighth day his scrotal skin became red and swollen and his right Vasa lymphatica spermatica showed tumors. Day by day the tumors became more prominent in size, and increased in number. Besides, his left Vasa lymphatica spermatica showed the same tumors. On the eleventh day we took out seven tumors by operation and found one to five of Wuchereria bancrofti in each tumor.
