In an analytical theory of the flow losses, a flow loss caused by the biased flow around the impeller was proposed. The upper limit on the design of the solidity was 2.5, and the solidity made to linear design the flow losses of the fan until the upper limit. When the solidity of the impeller was designed small, the total pressure of the fan at the same design flow rate quantity became high. In the design condition that the solidity was smaller than 2.5, it was considered that the total pressure of the fan was influenced by the slip factor rather than the sum flow loss.
