The numerical analysis using a CFD code showed a good agreement with the actual flow and thermal fields obtained in the experiments. However, the analysis was limited to the fluid flow and heat transfer from a downward-facing surface of the isothermal plate as no information has given on the flow and thermal fields from the upward-facing and sideward-facing surfaces in the Aihara et al.’s experiment.
