Also in the year 2000,Usu volcano and Miyake Island erupted on March 31 and July 8,respectively and these eruptions influenced largely to the lives of residents and the industrial section. Developing forecasting technologies of eruptions, not fully established by present, will provide us large social benefits. In this study, the possibility of predicting volcanic eruption was investigated using change in vegetation activity before and after the eruption in Usu volcano area by using satellite data.
