 note = {In this study, the site survey on the structural characteristic of stairs at the entrances to the Tenjin Underground Mall in Fukuoka City has been executed. The obtained results are able to propose not only qualitative aspects but also quantitative ones. In particular, it is realized that the stairs in the Tenjin Underground Mall are fallen into five categories (straight stair, bending stair, turning stair and so on) and that the mean slope gradient of stairs in the Tenjin Underground Mall is equal to 26 degrees.
