The ratio of the weight of the food materials that were produced in the community in question, what we call the local self-sustaining rate, was 6.3% on an average of all the 58 places. Five communities, Shimabara City (49%), Ohmuyra City (51%), Matsuura City (50%), Katsumoto town (25%) and Ishida town (51%) were showed high rates. Zero per cent was showed at 19 communities and the rate indicated in the range above 0 to 10% at 33 ones. The total of them came up to 52 places. The ratio of foreign production was 10% or thereabouts, and that of Japanese one was 80% or thereabouts, at most of the communities. That of prefectural one was the highest at anywhere except a few communities.
