In so doing, this examination tries to deconstruct or demystify the mythology of "objective knowledge," which is often presumed or made invisible by tactical elaboration of symbolic control. First, this article explores the idea of "objective knowledge" in terms of its history and functional mechanism. Second, deconstruction of such "knowledge" is sought, and suggests the idea of "hermeneutic knowledge," in which "knowledge" is viewed as being created and constructed by a researcher who has his or her own historical and cultural horizons (and therefore cannot avoid his or her prejudice and prejudgment). Third, implications of "hermeneutic knowledge" for intercultural communication studies are considered. Finally, the roles of researchers vis-à-vis cultural representation are discussed., 長崎大学経済学部研究年報, 37, pp.39-66; 2021}, pages = {39--66}, title = {知的営為としての異文化コミュニケーション研究 -知,教育,権力,研究者の関係を中心として-}, volume = {37}, year = {2021} }
