In this research, we define the context in which employees speak up and remain silent as “channel”. A situation where there are multiple channels in the workplace is defined as “multi-channel”. Employees choose to remain silent or speak up by switching channels, but they cannot always switch channels. For example, multi-channel of employee silence and voice change(i.e., limit or add to)depending on the changing social environment surrounding the workplace. Therefore, this study aims to clarify how the multi-channel changes caused by the spread of COVID-19 affect prosocial silence. This study uses interviews as qualitative research to identify the mechanisms and employees' dilemmas regarding their choice of prosocial silence and voice in computer-mediated communication(CMC).
