In 2021, Nagasaki Prefecture decided to preserve it, and is considering how to use it. First, we investigate the history of the construction, the living conditions, and the changes in the surrounding area, evaluate its historical value. Next, we will consider new roles in the community. Uonomachi housing complex is in a good state of preservation and is therefore worth preser ving as a pioneer in fireproof housing complexes. Also, it is effective to leave one dwelling unit as a museum or preservation dwelling unit and utilize other dwelling unit as shops or studios.
