{"created":"2023-05-15T16:50:15.482099+00:00","id":28041,"links":{},"metadata":{"_buckets":{"deposit":"2b96bcf3-e4c9-4615-aa5d-b9ac7550706d"},"_deposit":{"created_by":6,"id":"28041","owners":[6],"pid":{"revision_id":0,"type":"depid","value":"28041"},"status":"published"},"_oai":{"id":"oai:nagasaki-u.repo.nii.ac.jp:00028041","sets":["100:101:102:2052"]},"author_link":["125122","125121"],"item_3_alternative_title_19":{"attribute_name":"その他のタイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_alternative_title":"The impact of the Ming Dynasty's copper coins ban policy on the circulation of copper coins in the Ryukyus from the late 14th century to the second half of the 15th century"}]},"item_3_biblio_info_6":{"attribute_name":"書誌情報","attribute_value_mlt":[{"bibliographicIssueDates":{"bibliographicIssueDate":"2023-03-23","bibliographicIssueDateType":"Issued"},"bibliographicPageEnd":"214","bibliographicPageStart":"175","bibliographicVolumeNumber":"9","bibliographic_titles":[{"bibliographic_title":"多文化社会研究"},{"bibliographic_title":"Journal of Global Humanities and Social Sciences, Nagasaki University","bibliographic_titleLang":"en"}]}]},"item_3_description_4":{"attribute_name":"抄録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"本稿では、14世紀末から15世紀後半にかけての明の禁銭政策が琉球の銭貨流通に与えた 影響について考察する。禁銭政策とは、明洪武27（1394）年から天順 4 （1460）年にかけ て、銅銭使用に対して出された一連の禁令・規制の名称である。従来の研究では、主に禁 銭政策が明朝国内の銭貨流通に与えた影響が中心であり、明朝の海禁・朝貢制度を背景と して、明と朝貢貿易関係と密接なかかわりがある海外諸国、特に琉球の銭貨流通への影響 に関する視点が不足していた。 そこで本稿では、琉球の銭貨流通状況を事例に、当該時期における禁銭政策の発布契機、 および禁銭政策が琉球に与えていた銭貨流通上の影響を考察の対象にした。禁銭政策、海 禁・朝貢制度および琉球の銭貨流通状況を考察した結果、洪武27年における禁銭政策の発 布契機は、銅銭の流通と貨幣経済の引き締めを目的にした政策でなく、宝鈔（紙幣）の価 値安定と正常な流通を目的とする通貨政策であった。琉球は禁銭政策による「銭不足」の 影響を受けていたため、日本における撰銭を誘発したという解釈をする「琉球ルート説」 を過大視すべきではない。15世紀後半以降の禁銭政策が崩壊しつつあった背景には、明朝 海禁の緩和と朝貢貿易の減少、および琉球における通貨供給量の不足「銭不足」、「流通銭 貨の転換」などの諸要因があった。This article focuses on the copper coins ban policy of the Ming Dynasty from the late 14th century to the second half of the 15th century and its impact on the circulation of copper coins in the Ryukyus. The copper coins ban policy was the name given to a series of bans and regulations issued by the imperial court from Hongwu 27 (1394) to Tianshun 4 (1460) against the circulation of copper coins, targeting the private market, among others. However, most of the previous studies on the impact of the copper coins ban policy have been confined to the Ming dynasty, while a few studies have been conducted on the impact of the copper coins ban policy on overseas countries, especially the Ryukyu, from the perspective of the Ming dynasty’s unique system of tribute to the sea. This paper will therefore examine the impact of the copper coins ban on the circulation of the Ryukyu currency, taking into account the timing of the ban and the circulation of the Ryukyu currency during the period. The results of the study of the copper coins ban policy, the sea ban and tribute system and the status of copper coins circulation in Ryukyu show that the issuance of the copper coins ban policy in Hongmu 27 was not a policy aimed at tightening the circulation of the copper coins and the monetary economy, but a monetary policy aimed at stabilising the value and normal circulation of baochao (paper currency). Since the Ryukyu was affected by the ‘currency shortage’ of the copper coins ban policy, the Ryukyu route, which is considered to be the main reason for the Erizeni in Japan, should not be overestimated.
