The aim of the study was to perform and evaluate the “Health Supporter” training program and to evaluate its impact on community activities. Analysis was performed on the training process and outcome of the program to evaluate for sustainability. As a result of the 7\nworkshops performed within the program, participants revealed the following 4 points as being necessary for community development: (1) being physically capable of doing something they want to do, (2) having reliable intellectual ability, (3) enjoying activities through tending fields or plants, and (4) making good friends. These proposals have actually been implemented and developed as community activities by the residents. Furthermore, the participants of the “Health Supporter” training program had a high sense of self-efficacy, and were able potential community leaders.
