Also on 17th, it was announced that Japan and the EU negotiations on the EPA will not wait for the end of the year's agreement. In this way, the circumstances surrounding the EPA are changing rapidly. Since implementing EPA with Singapore\nin 2002, Japan has entered into force 15 EPAs so far. At the time of concluding each EPA, the economic effects etc. of the EPA concluding are being debated, but after implementing each EPA the studies which analyzed the economic effects of EPA empirically are limited. Trading statistics on import and export value in Japan have been publicized for the total amount of import and export, regardless of whether or not EPA customs duty rate is applicable. Under such circumstances, since May 2015, the Customs and Tariff Bureau of the Ministry of Finance has imported records ? time series chart by economic partnership agreement（hereinafter referred to as “EPA Trade Statistics” ）specialized for EPA customs duty rate application after 2012, It became possible to grasp the breakdown of imports subject to the EPA agreement among the imports from EPA partner countries.
