First, we constructed a portable stereo camera system equipped with two high-speed cameras, and performed image calibration. Second, the device was pushed toward the red sea bream Pagrus major to elicit its escape response. The flight initiation distance, displacement, and escape direction of the red sea bream were calculated from the captured images and compared with the values estimated from the high-speed camera installed above the water tank.
