 note = {Relations between numbers of evaporated ZnF2 islands, N, per unit area and temperatures, T(°K), of C film substrates have been studied electron microscopically, under the condition that the ZnF2 charged in the W-fllament basket was kept at the constant temperature, 1300℃. The relations are lnN∞±1/T, where the positive and the negative signes correspond to the cases in which the heating temperatures of C film are higher and lower than the temperature at 575℃, respectively. It has also been observed that gradients of the curve of the above equation change in positive values at the temperature near 872℃, which is the M.
