 note = {Local parametric vibrations of stay cables in the actual cable-stayed bridge are studied in the present paper. Natural frequencies of the global modes are obtained by using the three dimensional FEM model and the global motions under the excitation using the exciter，traffic loading and earthquakes are evaluated by using the method of modal analysis.
