At the time it was one of a few long-span bridges in Japan, but as this was shortly after the war, the only tests carried out were operating tests during construction. Therefore in this study, ambient vibrations were measured,and the measured values of natural vibrations and the analysis values of natural vibrations obtained from natural frequency analysis were compared to validate the model and estimate the damping constant.
