The starch glues, wheat, corn, and potato were used for shear performance test. And, the Japanese cedar wood was used as adherent. As a result, the shear mechanical performance of the wheat starch glue of 15% concentration was a most value it. This performance was similar to polyvinyl acetate adhesive; wood failure was lower than it was.
