Hydrogen chalcogenides, H2X (X=O,S,Se,Te) are reported to be of C2v symmetry by many previous papers, and no one reports the molecules to be of D∞h symmetry. However some of the present authors (K. Hamada and H. Morishita) report the R-X-R (R=CH3, C2H5) type molecules to have a linear -X-.
